Missing Abby is a mystery book about a young girl, Abby, who goes missing suddenly, and the last one to see her is her old best friend, Emma. Emma and Abby used to be friends, but Emma moved on, both literally and figuratively. As Emma struggles to figure out whether it would be best to forget Abby, and the geekness they share, or try to help Abby, whatever the cost, she realizes that she never truly did move on, or stop missing Abby. Some aspects of the book are great, like when Emma discovers that she loves Dungeons and Dragons, but the overall plot is little shaky, and has no clear message. At the end of the day, it’s a good book, but not a great book.
